FLOW: An Audiovisual Experience

Art As Catharsis and 107 Presents a night of hypnotic, immersive audio-visual collaborations by local musicians and visual artists as part of VIVID SYDNEY FESTIVAL.

Headlining the evening is Sydney-based pianist and composer Sophie Hutchings, who will give a special meditative, improvised performance accompanied by visuals provided by her brother, Scott Hutchings.

“The night is focused on creating highly engaging experiences that go beyond the scope of normal concert,” says Lachlan Dale, label manager of Art As Catharsis. “We’ve been inspired by Mihály Csíkszentmihályi’s work on the experience of flow – which are beautiful, immersive states in which we feel the boundaries between ourselves and our environment vanish.”
